NEXT STOP....ARKHAM CITY!!!

HERE HE COMES!!!!! YO people this is D.A.R. Jr. with a little story about Batman: Arkham City!!!! I can't tell you how PUMPED I was when I saw the release date for 10/18 last year!! But then I saw the release year "2011" and I went from "YEEAAAHH" to "AAWWWW". But enough about that, lets get to the game. Everything sets into motion exactly one year after the first game when Two-Face devises a plan to publicly execute Catwoman. Of course Batman has to come to the rescue and enter Arkham City to stop Two-Face from killing Catwoman (Warden Sharp took the credit for stopping The Joker in Arkham Asylum, thus becoming Mayor of Gotham and building the air prison we now know as Arkham City). It pretty much escalates from there. Now, like its predecessor, it is an open world action game that utilizes stealth and predator tactics. Each gadget obtained in the previous game make their reappearances (excluding the Ultra Batclaw, which for some reason is replaced with the regular Batclaw). Most of them however have new and/or improved capabilities, for example the Cryptographic Sequencer can now track signals, the line launcher now allows our Dark Knight to flip over and launch another zip line perpendicular to the one he was just on, the remote controlled Batarang now has a built-in brake and boost, and the grappling gun can now be used while gliding to give Batman a boost for more altitude. AAAAAARHH GRATUITOUS AMOUNTS OF UPGRADES!!!!! There are also 4 new gadgets which WILL NOT be revealed in this review (*Evil laugh* HA HA HA). As the player you also have access to a criminal database that tracks the major villains across the city with forensic puzzles like in "Arkham Asylum". Arkham City's detective mode is now described as an "augmented reality mode" where enemies can be seen more clearly but the navigational part, thankfully, was toned down due to the fact that alot of players beat the first game with detective mode on the whole effing time!! The Riddler returns with his optional challenges, but this time we have to disable traps set around these little trophies. Not only this, but after finding a set amount of trophies Batman must find and rescue a random hostage captured by the Riddler. WHATA TWIST!! Other key characters include The Joker (of course), Poison Ivy, Jim Gordon, Warden Sharp, Victor Zsasz, Bane, Harley Quinn, Jack Ryder, Nightwing (DLC), Robin (DLC), Hugo Strange, the Penguin (voiced by Nolan North!!!) Mr. Freeze, Alfred, Solomon Grundy, Mad Hatter, Deadshot, and.....and......Talia al Ghul??? HOLY $#!&!! WHERE'D SHE COME FROM???? My sources tell me that there will be other characters but we are clueless as to who they are X(.
OH MY GOD!! Seriously people I can't wait and I know Batman fans everywhere can't wait either. I'm D.A.R. Jr. a.k.a. MADNESS and this was Batman: Arkham City. MADNESS WISHES YOU LUCK!!

  1. You didn't say anything about playing as Catwoman, but whatever. The game was freakin epic beyond comparison (except with the first game of course)
