As the "Nintendo® Person" of the staff, responsibilities fall onto me as such. I was very well impressed with their show-casings at E3. They have stepped up from their previous appearances there. All the big dogs of Nintendo® showed up. The president of Nintendo® of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo®, Satoru Iwata, and Japanese video game designer and producer under Nintendo®, the legend, Shigeru Miyamoto. Shigeru (and his translator) started off with the 25th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda©. This included a new Zelda game for each of their existing consoles including The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords© for the Nintendo DSi©, and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword© for the Wii©. Also, they have announced new titles for the Nintendo 3DS©, these include Super Mario©, Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D©, Kid Icarus, Metal Gear: Snake Eater 3D©, and many more, all using the 3DS's 3D capabilities. Another big one by Nintendo© (like we all haven't been expecting it) is the new home console they have made, the Wii U©.
This amazing revolutionary new console will change how we game today. Being able to continue the gameplay from your TV, onto the 6.2" screen controller. That's right, a controller that has a screen. And it has enough processing power to support the game that's currently playing on your Wii U©. Classic +Pad and the A,B,X,Y on the right welcome the experienced gamer. It also houses 2 analog sticks as well as a built-in rumble feature. The screen also happens to be a touch-pad. On the back it has the L, and R buttons, as well ZL, and ZR buttons. They mentioned the Wii U© being able to be compatible with the Nintendo 3DS© in some ways, whether it be through games or downloadable content is unsure of yet. Also, the game developers have seen how capable this new console is, and have already started working on new titles for it. Even EA Sports® has seen how good it can be. Creators ranging from Capcom®, to Konami®, to even Ubisoft® have went into development. Some titles include Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Online©, Tekken©, Assassin's Creed©, Batman Arkham City©, Darksiders II©, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge©, and so much more. You heard right, hardcore games on a Nintendo® home console, because the Wii U© is in HD and has online interactions as you would find on Xbox Live© and the PlayStation Network©. As a fan, I couldn't be prouder to see that Nintendo®'s future is brighter than ever.
