HAIL TO THE KING, BABY!!!

THE KING IS BACK!!! What's good fellow gamers and your eyes are not deceiving you the same way they have been for 15 EFFING YEARS!! Duke Nukem has finally returned after 15 years in the making. Those of you veteran gamers might be wondering why they delayed Duke Nukem Forever for so damn long. Here's what was happening: After Duke Nukem 3D was released in May '96, GT Interactive got the publishing rights for DNF in a licensing agreement with 3D Realms. They later announced it for release in 1998, along with a debut trailer at E3 '98. HOWEVER since they were gonna use the Quake 2 engine (3D real-time rendering) they still ended up changing the freaking graphics engine to give it better high quality graphics. Not only that, but publishing rights and the Duke Nukem brand itself was sold back and forth. What delayed it even more was the fact that 3D Realms announced another change to the in-game physics system in 2004. And yet they kept releasing trailers and teasers that at this point might have driven fans insane. To make matters worse, in 2009, 3D Realms laid off the whole DNF development team. 3D Realms later negotiates with Gearbox about the Duke Nukem franchise. Thus, the single player work was completed. Later, all was settled and forgiven between Gearbox and Take-Two followed by the announcement for DNF in 2011. Thus, DNF was released to a anxious but patient audience on June 14th, 2011. And after 15 f$%&*@# years it should be HILARIOUSLY AWESOME RIGHT!??? Well it is. Please keep reading as I tell you about the story. As you might have already guessed, the aliens have returned and are stealing Earth's women, but nothing stands between Duke and his babes. So now Duke has to fight off these alien mother effers just like he did before. The game features weapons such as a golden 1911 pistol (shown in the pic I have here. It also brings a trophy/achievement if you carry it on you through the whole game), an awesome shotgun, a machine gun known as the ripper and other cool guns. explosives include trip mine, RPG, THE DEVASTATOR, and the classic pipe bombs. The game also has interactive challenges that increase Duke's Ego (your health bar). These include, lifting weights, looking at yourself in the mirror, playing pinball, etc. Duke also has "Duke vision" which is basically night vision, HoloDuke which is a disc that creates a hologram of Duke while the real Duke appears to be invisible. There is also beer which reduces damage when consumed, and steroids that make Duke's melee attacks stronger. The multiplayer is also somewhat exciting. With a capacity of 8 players the game modes include Duke match (free for all), Team Duke Match (team death match), Hail to the King (king of the hill), and capture the babe (capture the flag). Multiplayer also allows you to customize your own Duke with different head wear, glasses, shades, shirts, etc. It also features "My Digs" which is a huge mansion with items and accessories you unlock as you reach higher ranks. This includes a variety of babes of different ethnicities and nationalities...I'm not spoiling it.
Well after 15 years in the making, the King has finally returned to a store near you. I'm D.A.R. Jr. and this was my review on Duke Nukem Forever.

Is that Lightning?

CONTAINS SPOILERS, BEWARE! !

Hello everybody Cardinal - WRATH here with another game review but, first let me say SUMMER IS SO FUCKING ON! Yeah, that and to apologize for our negligence to our public but, when summer comes around we all just have to let loose anyway we're back and today im going to do the first post of the summer. Today's game one of my faves INFAMOUS 2, well there has been alot of hype for this game between the PS3 users and me too, everyone wants to know what ever happened to Cole well I hate to say this to you but SPOILER ALERT! ! Cole fought against the beast and lost big time so now him Zeke and a new character Agent Lucy Kao have to go down to New Maria ( which is like the New Orleans after the flood) to find a way to boost Coles powers up so he can go another round with the Beast ALERT OVER.

Yeah, thats pretty much what happens now its time to go into what we're really waiting for the new attacks. Oh man did they made a huge change, well let start out with your basic moves lightning bolt, sonic wave and greneades, as you progress in the game you can unlock different forms for the attacks for example, one attack is called pincer bolt, cole shoots out three bolt simultaneously which converge together at the end. Now there are also alot of karma attacks that can only be unlocked by increasing your karma meter to hero or evil. Now this is what we all want to know how can we do the ionic vortex that was on the commericals well its just push the down button on the D-pad simple yes? No you see to activate the ionic vortex you need to get ions which can be found in any defeated enemy or civilian. I know sucks that now that your most powerful move is gauged and whats worst is now using a lightning bolt uses electricity but thats ok its still powerful. To unlock most your attacks you will have to complete stunts, yeah you remeber stunts that little challenge that was at the bottom of the pause screen in small faunt that no one cared about or did. Well for some reason Sucker Punch felt that they need a purpose so they said hay let have the player have to do them to unlock Cole's powers. Personally I think its bull but, they arn't that hard to do so I guess no worrys. Last but not least Cole's brand new weapon the AMP think of it like a club that you can swing around with the AMP Cole can perform a wide range of melee moves to take down his opponents its truly a great weapon and can be upgraded just like the electrical attacks so that you can make a longer combo chain. So thats all the powers next, I want to talk about the new system, Sucker punch did something really big here what they did was added a system called UGC (User Generated Content). Which is basically users playing Infamous 2 can make there own missions so that other users on the PSN can try and concor and you can make it into any type of mission and make as difficult. Other users can even edit other UGC to make it to their liking and you can do a youtube (Rate and Comment) its sort of like there take on a multi-player system. Now I hate to bring this up but, as you probably know or not there is no ray sphere in this so you wonder how does Cole gets his final power and theres no circuit how does he get his powers. Well don't worry I wont leave that out, first how Cole gets his individual powers, as go through the game you collect theses things called Blast cores I guss you can say they were what powered the ray sphere anyway as you get one Cole will run an electrical current through them and the power will transffer to the nearest conduit. Finally the last lets call RAY SPHERE SCENE Cole, Agent Kao (who just now became a conduit) and NIX ( A conduit you will meet later in the game) have located a machine with a blast core in it this machince can fuse the the power of two conduits together i guess anyway you have to choose between Kao(GOOD) or NIX(EVIL) dependent on who you choose will determine your new elemetal powers. HMM let see what am i missing there gotta be somthing im missing HMM let see powers, story, system HMM what ohh i know enemy roll call. Well sorry to say the whole gang thing they had in the first game is now gone but, the're three types of enemys you will face in the game, The Militia a bunch hick, red neck, skin heads ( no offense to anyone) who hate anything thats going to disturb the so called "PEACE" they have created. The Militia is lead by Bertrand who also has a some kind of connection to the ray sphere which you will have to play to find out what. Next enemy is the (oh lord) the Mutants (not like X-men no where near them) which are these ass ugly fuckers who where mutated by something either radiation or whatever. There creation is currently unknown but you will find out soon enough. Theres about five different spices of mutants each is tougher then the next and harder to take down without the right move. Lastly are the ice - men the name only tells you all about them there conduits that use ice powers and just like the mutants theres different kinds from humanoids to a huge ice giant. The enemys where really creative and intresting and always gave you challenge which made the game more playable. Now then for the last and most powerful bady *kids from the movie sandlot (THE BEAST)* Thats right you baseball loving fuckers the Beast this thing is unbeliveable im not reallyto go into details about what it looks like or anything but i will tell you this its a conduit and you will not believe who it is. Oh yea and theres two different endings one good one bad pretty self-explanitory. Well thats it in a nut show sadly i only finished the evil side and im going to finish the hero when i get a new controller so yea to all of you i say have a great summer fry them burgers, bury your head in the sand, play any all the upcoming games and just chill. This Cardinal - WRATH saying keep playin.

HAY SORRY TO THOSE I RUINED THE GAME FOR WITH ALL THE SPOILERS BUT IT WAS REALLY I ONLY WAY I COULD HAVE DONE THE POST WITH OUT MAKING IT SOUND SO BORING. SO YEA IM SORRY BUT PLEASE DONT LET THIS STOP YOU FROM PLAYING IT REALLY IS A GREAT GAME THANK YOU AND KEE PLAYIN! !

Nintendo at E3

As the "Nintendo® Person" of the staff, responsibilities fall onto me as such. I was very well impressed with their show-casings at E3. They have stepped up from their previous appearances there. All the big dogs of Nintendo® showed up. The president of Nintendo® of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo®, Satoru Iwata, and Japanese video game designer and producer under Nintendo®, the legend, Shigeru Miyamoto. Shigeru (and his translator) started off with the 25th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda©. This included a new Zelda game for each of their existing consoles including The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords© for the Nintendo DSi©, and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword© for the Wii©. Also, they have announced new titles for the Nintendo 3DS©, these include Super Mario©, Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D©, Kid Icarus, Metal Gear: Snake Eater 3D©, and many more, all using the 3DS's 3D capabilities. Another big one by Nintendo© (like we all haven't been expecting it) is the new home console they have made, the Wii U©.
This amazing revolutionary new console will change how we game today. Being able to continue the gameplay from your TV, onto the 6.2" screen controller. That's right, a controller that has a screen. And it has enough processing power to support the game that's currently playing on your Wii U©. Classic +Pad and the A,B,X,Y on the right welcome the experienced gamer. It also houses 2 analog sticks as well as a built-in rumble feature. The screen also happens to be a touch-pad. On the back it has the L, and R buttons, as well ZL, and ZR buttons. They mentioned the Wii U© being able to be compatible with the Nintendo 3DS© in some ways, whether it be through games or downloadable content is unsure of yet. Also, the game developers have seen how capable this new console is, and have already started working on new titles for it. Even EA Sports® has seen how good it can be. Creators ranging from Capcom®, to Konami®, to even Ubisoft® have went into development. Some titles include Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Online©, Tekken©, Assassin's Creed©, Batman Arkham City©, Darksiders II©, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge©, and so much more. You heard right, hardcore games on a Nintendo® home console, because the Wii U© is in HD and has online interactions as you would find on Xbox Live© and the PlayStation Network©. As a fan, I couldn't be prouder to see that Nintendo®'s future is brighter than ever.
